Position Title: Head of Vossakrigar
Reports To: Land & Water Sports coordinator
Duration: Project-based position (before, during, and after Ekstremsportveko)
The Head of Vossakrigar plays a key role in ensuring that the sports disciplines at Ekstremsportveko are executed safely, professionally, and with great engagement. The role requires an experienced and structured individual with a strong passion for their sport and for event organization.
Main Responsibilities
Coordination of a specific discipline:

Plan and manage all events and competitions within the assigned discipline.

Develop detailed schedules and formats.
Collaboration with athletes and volunteers:

Work closely with volunteers and athletes to ensure they have the necessary information and resources.

Organize and follow up with volunteers involved in running the competitions.
Safety and quality assurance:

Ensure that the discipline’s program complies with relevant safety standards and guidelines.

Monitor event execution and address any issues that arise.
Cooperation with the safety team:

Coordinate with the safety team to ensure all activities are carried out safely.

Participate in risk assessments and implement measures to mitigate potential safety challenges.
Participant and spectator experience:

Strive to provide both participants and spectators with a positive and memorable experience.

Contribute to strengthening the festival’s reputation through high-quality competitions.
We Expect
Sports experience:

Would be benefical with Practical experience or extensive knowledge of the specific sport, including competition formats and rules.
Coordination and leadership:

Proven experience in organizing events and leading teams, preferably within sports or festivals.
Safety awareness:

Understanding of safety standards and procedures related to sports competitions.
Communication and teamwork:

Strong ability to collaborate effectively with athletes, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
Structure and flexibility:

Detail-oriented in planning and execution, with the ability to adapt to fast-paced changes.
Working Hours and Duration
The position requires flexibility, with high activity levels before, during, and after the festival. On-site presence in Voss is essential to ensure safe and efficient execution of the competitions.
