Aerobatics

Competition Format

Grace, precision and full control in the air. The Aerobatics Competition during Ekstremsportveko brings glider pilots to the skies above Voss to demonstrate what these silent aircraft are truly capable of.

The competition is scheduled for 20–21 June, with Monday 23 June as a reserve day if weather conditions prevent flying.

Pilots will fly a predetermined aerobatic program including loops, rolls and vertical manoeuvres, all judged on precision, smoothness and control. Every competitor flies the same sequence, making it a pure test of flying skill.

From the ground at Bømoen you can watch gliders draw clean lines across the sky while pilots push the limits of what is possible without an engine.

Student pilots are welcome to participate and may compete with a safety pilot in the back seat.

All pilots fly the same predetermined aerobatic program.

The program will be announced closer to the event.

Bring your own glider, or a glider can be provided by the club.

Administrative Requirements

Athletes must have completed all the following steps to participate:

- Valid Extreme Pass or Volunteer pass.
- Completed Athlete Registration. Not done that already? Do it here!
- Registered for this event (registration link at the top of the page).
