«Musti» has since her childhood been captivated by the art of storytelling, preferably over beats that already have a story to tell. The 17-year-old was born in Norway, and raised in London as well as Tøyen, a “small in size, but big at heart” area located in the central parts of Oslo, Norway.
Music has always been instrumental to her growth and her sources of inspiration vary. She listens to everything from traditional Somali music to the UK and Scandinavian grime/hip-hop/rap/RnB.
“Music and my family is everything I know and truly care about” - Musti
Her first song lyrics were written in English, but with the Scandinavian urban-scene blooming and with artists like "Arif", "Silvana Imam", "Gilli" and "Imenella" at the top of it, it's clear that we can expect a wave of newly inspired rappers/singer-songwriters who prefer to express themselves in their Scandinavian language, although it may happen that writing in English falls naturally, as it does for «Musti».
You probably haven’t heard about this young and aspiring artist until today, but the word on the street is that «Musti» already is a LEGEND in the making.
