Cashless (electronic payment card) in the Festival Tent

We use the Cashless payment system in the Festival Tent. The reason why we have this system is to make it more efficient for you as a purchaser, less cash handling and to comply with the demands from the authorities for registration and control of turnover.

You may already buy and refill the cashless card 2 weeks before the event.

This is how it works:

You buy a plastic card (50 NOK), either on site or at www.cashless.no. You fill up with the amount you’d like from your bankcard at a refill station, which you’ll find just outside the Festival Tent, or online at cashless. When you purchase food and drinks, the amount will be withdrawn from your cashless card. You may at any time refill your card or check the remaining amount on your card at refill stations inside the Festival Tent. There are many refill stations in the festival area and the refill process is simple, so you do not have to transfer more money to your cashless card than you think you’ll spend.

You fill up your cashless card at refill station in the festival area. Then your card will be scanned in the cashier's stand when you purchase food and drinks. “Five beers, please!” *Beep *, “there you are!” It only takes a few seconds. No more change and bank terminals, which takes 30 seconds to do a transaction. And the best thing: You don’t have to deal with long queues to buy a beer.

The advantages are many compared with bankcards, cash or vouchers. For you as a purchaser these things are the most important ones

• You purchase faster and the queue will be shorter!
  
• The Card is valid til 31^st of December 2012 and can be used for purchases at other events.

Remaining money?

The card is valid until the end of the year and it can be used at all events in Norway where the cashless system applies. The remaining amount from one festival can be used at the next event. Click here to see an overview of events where the cashless systems are already in use.

Cards can be refunded free of charge up until 31st December, simply by taking a refund receipt from any of the Cashless events and registering your account number along with the unique code on our website (Norwegian accounts only). 

Cards can be sent to us for manual refund using a form available on this website - but will be subject to a processing fee.

Please note that you can not use cash as a method of payment in the festival tent and we accept national bank cards, VISA, Master…..

No refund if you loose your card, with or without money.
