Relaxing Rail Jam

- Winning the price is not important. The essence is having fun in the sun, Christopher Helberg says.

On a small spot of snow at Vikafjellet, the atmosphere was laidback and playful during the rail competition.

Caroline Mølgaard Onarheim’s focus during Ekstremsportveko is kiting. Yesterday she decided also to join the rail jam – just for fun. Braño Král from Slovakia also made his decision at the last minute, when he discovered that it was still possible to participate.

Creativity and performance

Four boys are sitting laidback in camping chairs, spotting the competitors through their sun glasses. The judges ascertain that they didn’t have any favorite before it started.

– We don’t have any prejudges; their skills and creativity are determent. However, some of the boys stand out, judge Brynjulv Tveit admits.

One of them is Christopher from Hurdal.

– For me skiing is everything. I don’t care about winning. The sport is about friendship, he explains. If he wins he’ll buy him selves some new summer skis.
